During the last 14 years experience of running Abhyasa school , Vinaayaka has scripted and directed more than 15 dramas and operas. Even as a child, he longed to stage plays and engage in acting, than play games or sports. His first role on stage was in November 1979 at the NCC camp in Guntur, when he was 13 years old. During his school days he had visualized and composed around 6 stories, which he still possesses and hopes to make films out of the same in the years to come.

Vinaayaka’s moment of pride lies in his being chosen by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba himself , to play  a lead role during Baba’s 60th birthday celebrations in November 1985 on the massive ”Shanthi Vedika” at the Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium to an unprecedented audience of 3 lakh spectators. It was during this time that he was also introduced to acting, by veterans in southern film industry, namely Smt.Anjali Devi and Smt.Jamuna.  

As the years passed, Vinaaayaka has mastered the art of scripting, directing, editing, mixing background music etc and Abhyasa school has been staging her finest operas in the last few years, involving around 300 students on stage and 50 students back stage. “Winds of Change” in December 2007 at Lal bhadoor indoor stadium, Hyderabad and “Listen to your Heart” in December 2008 at Sri Sathya Sai Nigamamam, Hyderabad were his latest productions.

Vinaayaka is now a trained actor, having been tutored at the Sutradhar school of Acting at Hyderabad, under Prof.Bhasker Shewalkar, retd. Professor of Theater, Sarojini Naidu School of Performing Arts, Hyderabad University. He acted in two of Sutradhar’s plays for up-market Hyderabadis at Bhaskara auditorium in June & July 2009.
